Painting Progress
Just a quick update on where I am at with my progress. I have put a first coat on both the kitchen and front room. Being a single guy I have the luxery of picking out MY colors which tend to be darker more earthy maculine colors (olive, tans, copper, etc.) . Unfortunately being a guy I don't have the overall vision that our counterparts have. I thought this color would come out a bit more brown- and a touch less yellow but it is growing on me. I think it will look sharp when I bring in brown cabinets.

Also I think this green looks too pastel but it is growing on me. Maybe it is the sweet pink walls making it look funny.

Last night I finished the first coat on this room and am hoping to second coat both rooms tonight before I head off on vacation tomorrow afternnoon. I'm back up north to go hiking up at Isle Royale National Park.

That yellow is wonderful. do not change it. It really highlights the brick work, what a compliment. You're doing great. And the green is good too. I think you have better taste than most women!
I would change the yellow, but I'm not a big fan of yellow. The green is going to look fab when it's finished. Very rich-looking with the tone of the trim.
Looks good N. Isn't painting more work than you thought? I will have to be over to see it sometime. -Matt
I like the green, I had a bedroom that color! Hope you had fun on Isle Royale I have always wanted to go there.
