Paint & Flooring Updates

I think that I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Oh wait I probably mean I am starting to see a light at the end of the first quarter of the tunnel.

Painting-

All the rooms on the main floor have been painted, with the exception of the office. Granted I still need to paint and put trim in the back half of the house but for the most part the rooms are starting to look "clean" and ready to go. As I mentioned before I have painted the main front room a green color that I think looks great with the rich color of the woodwork (as a friend mentioned it looks like guacamole green). The dining room I have painted a brown color (ICI's Basketry to be exact). This has worked well to hide alot of the imperfections with the walls and their texturing. The kitchen is the yellow I showed before and the adjacent bathroom is a tan color. For the back bedroom I am going with Cream & Crimson (Go IU Hoosiers) since this room will probably end up being a den/rec room, but first it will be my bedroom while I work upstairs.

Flooring-

I have put luon on top of the flooring boards in the bedroom and kitchen in preparation for the final flooring. The bedroom will be carpeted whereas the kitchen will be ceramic tiled after I get my cabinets put in. Just having the new wood sheets in makes the rooms look so much better. My big thing is everything just looks cleaner! I guess all the dust and debris has been getting to me and I am excited to see it start to disappear.
Oh yeah, the carpets have been ripped up and the hardwood flooring is ready to be sanded and refinished. My father is going to be free tomorrow so he is going to try and tackle that. We will see how everything turns out.

Here are some before and after pictures so you can see how much a coat of paint does.

In a photo from an earlier entry, I see that the brick of your (furnace?) chimney is exposed...maybe it is in the kitchen or front room? Did you expose it yourself? I've been contemplating this project for my four-square house, but have wondered how to do it...regarding baseboards (what does it look like where the chimney meets the floor) and how does the chimney merge with a wall (is there a gap? if so, how do you fill it?). Got any advice for me on this process? Many thanks.

The colors look great! What is the green color called and what is the brand? I'm currently obsessing over trying to find a green color for our living room. Our woodwork is very similar to yours! You're doing great work.

Could you post what color and brand of paint you go with when you paint the IU room. I am looking to paint my basement Cream & Crimson, but dont know exactly what colors to go with. Glidden has an Oklahoma Crimson I may use, but I need a Cream color.
